HAVE you missed your test IN THE CLASSROOM? last chance TO DO it in 48 hours (RULES)
From now on in this second term, you will have the opportunity to do tests we did in the classroom, but you missed, at home. In case you couldn´t attend to one of the tests we did in the classroom, you will have 48 hours to send it to me by email ([email protected]) or hand it in in the classroom. For example, you couldn´t attend classes on Monday and we did a reading test that you missed, you will be able to access our "3rd year journal, tests and worksheets/tests 3rd year" folder in our Drive before Wednesday at 23.59 and send it to me by email or just hand it in in the classroom that very same day.
Do this only if you are missing some tests and you know that you don´t have enough marks for that language skill. These tests are only valid for the continuous assessment, not for the proficiency tests (certificación) and your marks in June cannot be based on only online marks (check the assessment rules above in school´s documents).

Reading test: Do it in a maximum of 20 minutes per text/activity.
Listening test: Listen twice (3 times, only if it is allowed) for each activity. Approximately 15 minutes per activity |
Writing test. Production or Coproduction/mediation. Do it in 30 minutes maximum per activity
Oral test. Monologue: Record a 3-minute audio (maximum) Oral mediation (record a 2.30 minutes audio maximum). Dialogue: Record a 5-minute audio maximum of the conversation with a partner. |

COMPOSITIONS
You will always need to do the activities before writing the composition and check them with the teacher´s book on Intermediate files/Grammar corner/Student's book answers/ef4e-spain-b1-teachersguide. Also, go to our Drive / Writing to get comments on compositions.
Composition 5. Film review on page 191. Do all the activities before writing the composition and find the answers in the Teacher´s Guide in our Drive. Follow the instructions in activities e and f. Work in pairs and visit these two pdf links to get the files and learn how to write a film review: 1- https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/sites/teacheng/files/2024-06/Student%20worksheet_2%20%281%29.pdf AND 2- https://english-practice.net/english-writing-exercises-for-b1-article-a-film-review/. With the help of your partner, and using the ideas (expressions and structures of both pdf files write a review of a film you know well. Also check pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar (speaking activity) with your partner.
On 9th / 10th April, you will need to tell other partners in the class about your film review.
The following week we will do a similar written test in the classroom.
Deadline to have your first version: 9th- 10th April 150-175 words. This activity will finish with a similar written test in the classroom the following week, on 21st-24th APRIL.

You will need to describe your house to your partners in trios in the classroom on 28th- 30th April (speaking activity). Take some notes because you will need to determine which of the three houses described is the best for you to live in. We´ll do a similar written activity of written mediation in which you will need to choose the right choice/s of something the following week, 5th-8th May.

You can always write down the next composition.
I do not double-check compositions either. Once the composition is corrected, it is your responsibility to check your copy of your composition, give me the original corrected (optional) and try to improve next time. However, you can compare your composition with your classmates.
Remember that I prefer your compositions to be handwritten for your own interest.
When necessary, after every composition I will make some comments in the classroom that you can download from the downloads/writing section of your level.
